5/19/2014 - San Cabos Letter & Pics

Hola

Well this week was great, i learned so much spiritually and how to be more of a missionary and what I need to do more.  Sometimes it is really hard, and your feelings get hurt, and you want to do better you want to be the best missionary or person and sometimes you fall, and it hurts, a lot.  You think that you can do it and you are trying, trying with all your heart and soul, and then you realize you aren't even close.  I gave a talk yesterday in church, it was an amazing experience, because i didn't know any Spanish before i came here and there i was talking about the love of Christ to everyone and they understood what i said. You could hear a pin drop it was so quiet, normally you have children running around and laughing, but it was quiet and we all felt the spirit so strong. It was amazing, i knew in that moment that I could do anything and the only thing that was keeping me from moving forward was me. I know i can do this, I know that Jesus Christ lives, I know that this church is true, because i know in my mind and i know in my heart the love of Christ for the people here, i have felt it and i don't ever want to lose that feeling again.

Anyway, we headed to La Paz for a conferencia with Elder Johnson and i found out there were 5 missionaries from Arizona! Yeah how cool is that, we have in the picture left to right, Elder Judkins from QueenCreek, Elder Bingham from Mesa (no not the seminary teacher, he has no idea who that is) Me in the middle from Chandler, Elder Rotche, Roche, Rutche (i can't remember) he is from Gilbert and then Elder Carden from Scottsdale, it was great. We were all talking about food and places in Arizona that we had been too!  Anyway, we went back to our area, and looked for a person and we were led to a house with a door 15 feet in the air and no stairs, so sometimes i think the people give us a challenge to reach them really and teach them. It was great we laughed.

This morning we went to a look out point and watched the sunrise so beautiful, the elders climbed a rock and held a Book of Mormon in the air! i took a picture it was great i want to put this in a magazine or something! It was Elder Serna and Elder Velazquez, they are great, really funny at sometimes. This week has been amazing and I love the missionary work it is hard sometimes but in the end the blessings are so great and wonderful there are no words that explain the feelings.

We are his children, his children! he wants to hear us, he wants to know that we are here, pray to him in all the energy of your heart and talk to him, let him know what is going on in your life, he loves you so much, he wants to bless you! I love you all and i hope that you have a great week!

    Always Happy,
